The Yoga Collective – Your “Om” for Online Yoga

Review + Giveaway: The Yoga Collective – Your “Om” for Online Yoga

The generous folks at The Yoga Collective have donated 2 free year-long memberships to their extensive library of online classes, and they’re up for grabs for Yoganomics readers!

We’ve been exploring the site for about a week now, and so can you with their 15-day free trial. Here’s what we love:

It’s non-invasive. When you sign on to practice, nobody watches or judges you. It’s just you, your mat, and the screen.

There’s no need to commit to a class. If you don’t like the class you chose to play, there are literally more than 100 others to choose from, searchable by style, teacher, length, and level.

It’s more than asana classes. In addition to 10, 20, 30, 40, and 60 minute yoga classes, they offer pranayama, meditation, and single pose instruction.

They donate 50% of profits to charity, including Y.O.G.A. for Youth, Charity: Water, Kiss the Ground, Heal the Bay, and Saving Innocence.

One note of caution: you do need to somewhat know what you’re doing when you practice yoga from video instruction. For example, a head injured person would have difficulty with Tony Giuliano’s Remembrance Practice, which starts with a fairly challenging balance sequence. But if you know what you want and know what you’re doing, it’s not hard to find the teachers and classes that mesh with your skill level and abilities.

So how do you win one of the 2 free year-long memberships up for grabs? Leave a comment on this post to tell us why you want to join The Yoga Collective, and we’ll select 2 lucky readers by May 30.
