From what she say’s, it’s an inspirational guide to achieving lasting happiness no matter what life throws at you. (Pretty good deal, right?)
Jennie based her book on the Eight Limbs of Yoga, which are outlined in the classic text of the Yoga Sutras, that offers practical strategies for readers to make a positive life change and attain sustainable peace and joy.
In the book she provides a breakdown of the Eight Limbs of Yoga in relatable terms, with daily practices, reflection questions, and affirmations at the end of each chapter to keep readers on track and also make use of the newfound information. Tools to cultivate a balanced, harmonious life in today’s chaotic world, methods to maintain positive thoughts and manage stress, and ways to embody timeless values such as generosity and dedication are included. I hope these tangible practices will touch readers in a warm and encouraging way, helping them believe in their ability to re-create their lives at any point, no matter what, through the classical practices and universal spiritual benefits of the Yoga Sutras. The book will be available for pre-orders this August on Amazon and on shelves in January 2016.
Jennie is following up her book with a True Yoga Retreat at Xinalani Resort that will be happening from April 2-9, 2016, celebrating the launch of her first book.
She chose this gorgeous beachfront retreat center to share the book’s practices and inspiration for positive personal change through the application of The Eight Limbs of Yoga.
The retreat will include a playful mix of yoga styles including vinyasa, kundalini, yin, restorative, silent and guided meditation, devotional chanting, reflective writing and lots of discussion on the purpose and meaning of True Yoga.
Jennie Lee’s hope is that everyone can have the tangible tools to integrate their yoga practice in every aspect of their being.
