Jennifer Tallini – YogaWithStyle.com
As an executive of human resources for 11 years, Jennifer provided expertise and employee relations for high-profile companies including Mattel, Inc., The Economist Group and Medialink Worldwide. It was during this time of her life, that Jennifer saw how taking care of one’s mind and body enables someone to excel. In these formative years, Jennifer sharpened her skills in communication, creativity and business management. At the same time, she sought relief from the stresses of corporate America and raising a family in the then not-so-widely known yoga. Squeezing in Ashtanga, Hatha flow, Bikram and Vinyasa classes when she could, the leisure activity turned into a passion which would eventually lead to her next phase of professional life.
While recovering from a hip injury in 2009, Jennifer realized she couldn’t live without yoga. While healing took place, she had time to reflect on how she could apply her skills to her passion for yoga and its ability to impact one’s quality of life. This reflection was the genesis of yogawithsytle.com. By this time, yoga had become more a part of American life– no longer the esoteric, exotic practice featured only in movies Yoga had become a staple part of the mainstream American physical and mental fitness.
The interest in her business quickly spread beyond friends and family and in 2010, Jennifer opened the first yogawithstyle boutique at Esteem Wellness and Fitness in Greenlawn, NY. The boutique allows consumers a hands-on look at the vast selection of products she features on the site. It also gives her face- to- face feedback which she is steadily using to grow the online business into a mecca for all things handcrafted.
Jennifer created yogawithstyle.com to be an emporium of all things associated with yoga, pilates and meditation. From equipment to artwork, to organic skincare to clothing for the whole family, Jennifer made sure there’s something for everyone. She takes pride in the fact that her enterprise offers only high-quality, artisan products that are both eco-friendly and stylish. Jennifer enjoys meeting the craftsmen personally and hearing the stories behind the creations. Hadley Pollet, Windhorse, Energy Muse, Foat and Kulae are among the many brands she offers. Jennifer’s mission is to support brands and charities that enrich the lives of children and help preserve our Earth. Yoga With Style supports monthly donations to The Ocean Foundation, brand support to United By Blue, the TRS Foundation (through Hadley Pollet brand sales), BlueMarbles.org Beachcleanup.org, UNICEF, Yogis for Haiti and ONE just to name a few.
Through continued recovery from her injury, Jennifer’s business savvy and passion for yoga are now intertwined in her position of founder and President of the business. She is enjoying the steady success of her entrepreneurship. She has also returned to her favorite yoga practice, Vinyasa and she blogs regularly on her site about the yoga world, family, life and as a way to self-meditate.
Jennifer lives in New York with her husband and two children.
