#OK: First Ban Yoga Pants, Now AP US History @petridishes

First the yoga pants make people feel funny, now Advanced Placement U.S. History is too honest and “un-American.”  Just Stop… Listen to Yourselves…. State Legislature’s you are hereby commanded to stop wasting taxpayer money on useless bills that will never pass.

First the yoga pants make people feel funny, now Advanced Placement U.S. History is too honest and “un-American.”  Just Stop… Listen to Yourselves. State Legislature’s you are hereby commanded to stop wasting taxpayer money on useless bills that will never pass.

If it sounds ridiculous, it’s because it is.

Oklahoma state legislators are trying to ban Advanced Placement U.S. History, on the grounds that it is insufficiently laudatory of America.

You can hear the scoffing. “This is like banning mirrors on the grounds that they don’t flatter you.”

“This is like banning cameras on the grounds that you look bad in pictures.”

“This is like banning glasses on the grounds that when you look through them, you see details, and some of those details upset you.”

This would be like trying to ban yoga pants because they make you feel things you don’t want to – OH FOR THE LOVE OF PETE.

Please stop banning things you disagree with, state legislatures. Especially facts.
