B.K.S. Iyengar’s Sagittarian Greatness

Iyengar At Pali 1987

Iyengar At Pali 1987

When you inhale, you are taking the strength from God.
When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world.
B.K.S. Iyengar

How does a person know when they are called to do something more than the average person?  Do you think that when BKS Iyengar and Pattabhi Joyce began studying the teachings of Krishnamacharya, that either of them had any conceivable idea of the light that they alone, individually as yoga teachers – would bring into the world for so many people?

Illuminated emancipation, freedom, unalloyed and untainted bliss await you, but you have to choose to embark on the Inward Journey to discover it.

B.K.S. Iyengar

It is up to us to be the new guardians of a discipline that so many hold dear to their hearts, a discipline that alters the actual perception of the world’s reality.  The Discipline called yoga that honor our teachers, our teachers teachers, and our homage to the timeless traditions we hold so close to our hearts.

That is why I stand up for yoga.

Happy Birthday B.K.S. Iyengar –
